Since its inception in 2004, MEEO has been involved in projects for the development and implementation of new applications for Earth Observation.

As an industrial partner of national and international private companies and research institutes, MEEO is currently involved in European Space Agency and European Commission initiatives: the Image Information Mining projects, for the implementation of software modules for satellite data manipulation; European Scalable Earth Science Service Environment (EarthServer), for the design and implementation of reference implementations for Big Data Analytics in several scientific domains, including the Climate and Atmosphere domain managed by MEEO.

MEEO has gained expertise in the design and implementation of applications for the manipulation of satellite images in Web Service mode, and has established itself as a supplier and integrator of services on the Service Support Environment (SSE) portal of the European Space Agency.

MEEO’s development philosophy encourages the full involvement of the end-user in the entire development process. In this way, MEEO can better accommodate any particular needs, assuring the quality of the final product and customer satisfaction.

MEEO is presently involved in different research projects with an aim to the development of innovative techniques for Earth Observation.
