MEEO S.r.l. wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, a screen reader, a magnifier, or who need less motion on screen. This page says where we stand and how to tell us about anything that gets in your way.
1. The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the technical reference of the European standard EN 301 549 and of the Italian AgID guidelines. Where it costs little we also follow WCAG 2.2.
2. Where we stand
This is our own assessment, not an independent audit, so we do not claim full conformance. Our checks, last made on 9 October 2026, were:
- an automated scan (axe-core) of every page, on a desktop and a phone screen, which found no failures of the rules it tests;
- a review using the keyboard alone, covering the menu, the forms, the careers application and the team page;
- a check that the site works with browser zoom, in a Chromium-based browser. Other browsers have not been tested as systematically.
Automated tools find only part of the problems, so there may be barriers they cannot see.
3. What we have done
- A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing a keyboard user reaches, and everything can be operated from the keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
- Zoom is never blocked, and text can be enlarged without losing content.
- The background film on the home page can be paused, and it does not play at all if your device asks for reduced motion. Other animations also follow that setting.
- Images that carry meaning have a text alternative; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
- Form fields have labels, required fields are marked, and errors appear next to the field they concern.
- Links that open in a new tab say so, and links in running text are underlined, so they do not rely on colour alone.
- The site is built with a dark theme and text colours chosen for contrast.
4. What still falls short
- The site is in English only. Contents are not translated into Italian.
- Videos from YouTube and Vimeo play in their own players, whose accessibility, and whether they have captions, we do not control.
- The PDF documents in the Social ethics section (the policy and plan documents) have not been checked for accessibility, and may not be fully usable with a screen reader.
- The ground station window is a graphical feature, and does not have a complete text equivalent.
5. Tell us about a barrier
If something on this site is hard or impossible to use, or you need its contents in another form, write to info@meeo.it or use the contact form. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and, if you can, the browser and any assistive technology you use. We will read it and answer at the address you give. Whatever we are told is used to improve the site.
6. Technology
The site relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA. It needs JavaScript for its menus and forms.
