Ferrara is getting hotter

Ferrara is getting hotter

By meeo inClimate Change

Ferrara (Italy) is really hot these days …

So I was wondering how the temperature is evolving during summers. Using our platform http://eodataservice.org is easy to analyse MODIS Daytime Land Surface Temperature data since 2000, extracting the average monthly LST over Ferrara.

Ferrara is getting hotter and hotter. This  not the hottest July in the History, but the average LST is growing at a rate of 0.2 degrees / year.

Not bad … we will reach Rome soon (only 0.05 degrees / year)

Luckily it rains .. but not in June and July 🙁

Register for free and play with the data at  http://eodataservice.org
